Caring and Curing in the South: Medical Technologies, Past and Present
This two-day conference explores the changing nature of medical technology in the South. The
speakers will include historians, medical professionals,
and scientists. The Friday plenary speaker is Keith Wailoo,
author of Drawing Blood and Dying in the City of the Blues.
The Saturday luncheon speaker is military historian John Tone.
Professor Tone is speaking on Yellow Fever in Cuba during the
Spanish-Cuban-American War.
