Our Mission

Our mission is to promote a better understanding of economic development in the American South, past and present; to comprehend the origins and consequences of industrial and technological change; and to provide guidance and perspective to those seeking to create a higher quality of life for the people of Georgia and the South.

 

Caring and Curing in the South: Join us for Caring and Curing in the South: Medical Technologies, Past and Present. This two-day conference will explore the changing nature of medical technology in the South. The speakers will include historians, medical professionals, and scientists. The conference will be held at the Georgia Institute of Technology on March 22 and 23, 2002.
